Slow process!

The construction is done! The cabinets are slowly getting installed. Some minor errors were made and a few last minutes changes have been made. We need to return some cabinets and order new ones. It's minor but a delay nonetheless. 

We have someone lined up to tile the kitchen floor for a good price. We took a look at tiles on Saturday and settled on Travertine. We have to think of the backsplash too but this will come after the countertops are installed and after a few more paychecks hit the bank! 

Michael will try his hand at a small section of hardwood floor. Not sure when... We roughly have 6 months to get it all done before the final inspection. 

Then there is lighting... We need to find lamps we like... So many choices! 

Spring break is upon us! No school for the kids until next week. They started the break strong! Keira's birthday party on Friday was followed by a birthday party at the skating rink for Aymeric and one at the bowling alley for Kilian on Saturday afternoon. 

Next weekend, we will host Zoe's birthday party. The house will still be a mess but I am hoping I have an oven and a stove by then! Zoé chose Hello Kitty for her party theme. We will serve Asian foods, have a bounce house and an egg hunt since Easter will follow. 

This week will be busy... House cleaning, kitchen install and party preparations are on the agenda!
