I guess it had to happen one day or another! Today, around 3:20, Kilian was running in the house and he slipped and...hit the evil square pole thingy in the dining room. He had done it many times in the past, but never so forcefully. His forehead hit the corner...It sliced his forehead really deep, a deep 2 inch cut, blood everywhere on the floor and his face, dripping down his body...piercing screams followed the initial thud and once I saw blood, I knew it was time to pack up and leave for the ER!
Aymeric was panicking, running around in circles, screaming "I am scared". It took him 5 minutes to find his shoes!
They both cried the whole way to Kaiser! We got admitted right away.
Kilian was freaked out at first but after the numbing stuff was injected in the wound, he started to relax. Once the pain died down, he started acting normal again. He asked about all the things in the room (what's that? what's that for?). Michael joined us and distracted him, making balloons out of plastic gloves.
I had to take Aymeric out when they prepped him for stitches. It took 3 nurses and Michael to hold Kilian down. He was screaming and kicking. Aymeric was afraid. He could hear Kilian scream. We kept going further away from the room.
Uncle Chad showed up later and took Aymeric outside in the sun (he was freezing in the ER). I went back to Kilian's side and saw the end of the procedure!
He got 3 inside stitches and 8 stitches on his forehead. We need to go back to the doctor in 5 days to get the stitches out.
Kilian briefly fell asleep in the car but decided to play once home and asked for McDonald for dinner to 'feel better'! Instead he had Burger King ( only ate his apples and his chocolate milk!) and got a Transformer car...he is sleeping with it right now!

What a day!! I don't want another one like that for a LONG time!!
