July updates

So...Aymeric can ride his bicycle without training wheels AND he is no longer afraid in the pool! He can swim with his life jacket on all by himself to the deep end. In a couple weeks, we'll start teaching the kids how to swim without a life jacket (under strict supervision, of course!)


The garage's foundation has been poured and is drying up. We've had the cement truck at our house three times in a month!!

Tonight, Aymeric and Kilian are spending the night at Grandma's. They've been begging for a while! Maybe it will free me enough time to make more plum jams. I've already made 12 jars and I still have about 15lbs of fruit!

The weather has been heating up so we have spent a lot more time in the pool! Aymeric and I spent 3 hours in the water yesterday afternoon. The water is a little over 85 degrees F (30 d. Celsius).

Last weekend, Grandpa Jack came back. He had to attend a funeral in Sacramento so he spent the night at our house. On Saturday, we had weird weather...big gray clouds, some rain...and a rainbow! Michael went on a motorcycle ride with Dennis Sunday afternoon. This coming Saturday, he is going fishing with Uncle Mike. I think I'll spend the weekend home with the kids, alternating between crafts and pool time!! Aymeric is getting into video games. He likes to play Mario Kart and is getting pretty good at it! It's funny to watch him play. He plays with his whole body so he twists and turns a lot!
