Finally we made it to Christmas! It has been a hectic month! We have had a very busy time in December. The kids had many events at their school. We were busy with work, doctor and dentist appointments...Then two weeks ago, we attended a wedding reception and hosted Aymeric's birthday. I got the stomach flu in between the two and was in bed during most of Aymeric's birthday. Then Zoe got the flu on Wednesday night, the night of the kinder sing, and missed two days of school. Kilian was sent home with the flu on the last day of school and missed all the fun activities. Michael got it too and poor Aymeric got it last after seeing all of us get sick. After that, we barely had time to recover and it was Christmas Eve! Kilian did a great job helping out. He cleaned out the backyard, cleaned his room, helped washing windows...even helped peel a potato for the mashed potatoes!
The kids had a great Christmas Eve. Aymeric did not want to go to bed. He really wanted to catch Santa because he is not quite sure he is real. He fell asleep shortly before midnight.
Zoe woke me at 4:00 am ...she was not concerned about Santa or the gifts..she was crying and uncomfortable. The boys woke up around 6:30 and had to wait until 7:00 to open gifts! They were so excited and very very very pleased with their new treasures! Once again, they have been more than spoiled!
Now, we are just relaxing among piles of wrapping papers and empty boxes...the clean up will come later!
