Python Ron at the Library

Today, I met a student at the library and while I was there I overheard the librarian talking about a reptile and snake presentation that would be held that afternoon. Turns out Python Ron was coming to the library for a kid event featuring lizards, snakes and more!!

I knew Aymeric would love the show! So I picked up the kids early from daycare and we went to the library. The event started promptly at 3:30. There were lots of kids and the room was full!
Lilly-Marie, Trinity and Anne-Laure joined us.

The show started with some hissing cockroaches, millipedes, scorpion, tarantula (a bird eating one), then we moved on to lizards (bearded dragon, monitor...), then a turtle (can't remember which kind, the third largest one) and finally snakes of all sorts (corn snake, python etc...).

At first Kilian was really scared and kept his hands over his ears...he was really whiny and squirmy but he managed to sit through the whole one hour presentation. He's been sick all week and he kept coughing and complaining about a tummy ache. I am glad he was patient enough because Aymeric would not have gone home early without throwing a fit!!
The kids were very enthusiastic...some parents were scared!

At the end of the presentation, I stayed to talk with Anne-Laure and since Python Ron was starting to pack...he allowed a couple kids to pet one of the snakes. Aymeric and the girls took turn petting the snake.

It was a great afternoon!
