Spring like weekend!

Bubble Boy

Naked boy singing Shake a Booty...this what happens when I go to the gym

When the cats away, the mice will play...this is the mess I came home to on Saturday morning!

This weekend was gorgeous! It was warm and sunny and we could not stay indoors with such a great weather! The mornings were chilly (frost) but the afternoons delightful!!..oh yeah...it was Superbowl Sunday...but we really don't care about that!!

Saturday, the kids woke up early and tried everything to get us out of bed along with them. They took their noisiest toys and played with them by our bedroom door! Michael was ready to destroy all their toys! In the end, they made their own breakfast (chocolate milk) all by themselves...barely making a mess...if you don't count chocolate powder all over the counter and the floor and spilled milk on the stepstool and floor!

I ended up having breakfast with them and we played with our Doodle Pro. I would draw something and the kids would have to guess what it was; then Aymeric would draw and I would guess! Turns out Aymeric can draw pretty much anything!! Kilian made my day when he told me: "Maman, I am proud of you". I asked him why and he said it was because I could draw everything!! He is SOOOOOO SWEET!

The kids played outside the rest of the day. We went to Walmart and picked up a Frisbee. We played Frisbee in the backyard for what seemed to be hours! It was lots of fun and the kids are pretty good at it! Michael was assembling the rest of my desk while we were outside!

In the evening, Michael took the kids to Grandma's. They had dinner with her while I cleaned the house and set up my 'office'. Then Michael and I went to dinner at Scott's Sea Food (Thanks Uncle Mike for that gift card we saved for ever and finally used!). I had the greatest mahi mahi ever! It was so delicious: jerk marinated mahi mahi with grilled avocado, mango salsa, coconut and cilantro rice....yum!!

The kids came home at 8:30, bathed and in their jammies. I read them stories and put them to bed!! I had not checked to see if Kilian was wearing a diaper! He still needs one for nighttime..well he was not!! At 2:30 am, he was crying out for me, all wet and cold...oh the joy of making the bed (when it is bunk beds!!) at 2:45 am...half awake!! I bumped my head more times than I can recall!!

Sunday morning, Michael took the kids shopping to Trader Joe's. We're having Anne-Laure, Michael, Lilly-Marie and Trinity over tomorrow evening for 'la chandeleur'. We're having a crepe dinner. After lunch, we cleaned up all the toys and headed for Almond Park. We played Frisbee, boomerang and ran around. The kids then went to the playground for a little while. Kilian was getting tired. We ran a few errands and got the kids a snack. Kilian passed out before he could eat his cookie. I stayed in the little cafe area of the store while Aymeric and Michael went to the animal store to get crickets and look at the snakes. Aymeric dreams of having a snake...I keep saying NO.

Right now, the kids are watching Kitty Halftime Show (Part of Puppy Bowl V) on Animal Planet. They are tired...too tired to play ! Michael is getting the barbecue ready..we bought STEAK for tonight's dinner!!

While I am here...here are two words Aymeric has totally massacred and can't seem to ever get right: murdercycle (for motorcycle) and crispy for Frisbee. I think it's cute.

Another use for Frisbee: acorn holder!

Kilian and his cookie!
No Aymeric pictures this time because he does not want to stop for a picture anymore!
