Not again?

Well, looks like Zoe might have another ear infection after all! She was pretty cranky this morning and by 11:30, the daycare called to inform me that she was inconsolable and would neither eat or drink. They gave her some Tylenol and waited for me to come pick her up.
Before going to get her, I called Kaiser...about 45 minutes and 3 phone calls later I was on my way to bring Zoe home, but had no answer from Kaiser. The instructions regarding the surgery clearly said to call the pediatrician if she developed symptoms but once I called the pediatrician's office, they told me to call the ENT department and when I called the ENT, they told me to call the pediatrician!! In the end, the ENT nurse sent a message to the 'ENT specialist' and I have not heard from them yet so I am assuming that they will not call me back until it's too late! I called again later and they told me I had to wait for the call back...
As if!! Tomorrow, if there is no improvement, I will set up an appointment with her regular doctor.

She is very fussy. She does not eat. She will not nurse, it makes her cry! But she will take a bottle now! However, she has to be held upright and the bottle has to be up and angled...just like feeding a baby deer! She did take a nap this afternoon, thanks to the painkillers but right now she is in full crying mode.

Edit: It's now 9:00 pm and Zoe has been screaming since dinner time. She is in pain, despite one dose of Tylenol. She will be seen tomorrow at 9:30 by Dr. Rabinovitz. Michael has taken tomorrow off to help me out; it's the end of the semester at school and I have to have all the grades done by Friday, and all my assignments for the new semester ready by Monday morning.
It's not fun! I can't wait for this situation to end. It's hard on all of us.

Update: 1/28/11- Zoe does have another ear infection. She is starting an antibiotic she already took over a month ago. The surgery is not canceled. We received the call today telling us the time and guidelines. We have to be at Kaiser at 6:00 am. We will take the boys to the Carberrys at 5:30 am and leave the car there so Heather can take all the kids to school.
