New Windows!

Construction updates! This week has been slow. The weather did not help!
Concrete was poured on Wednesday...we have the 'ground' of the new kitchen!
Today a new slider was installed in the garage! We can finally access the garage without having to go out front and via the garage door. The old sliding door by the fireplace was also replaced with a new one. The house is a mess...on the outside.

Kitchen wise, we are still undecided. While Ikea has unbeatable price, it also comes in pieces and needs assembly...Lowes' version would be delivered already assembled and ready to install. We are still waiting on Home Depot's design and prices.

Not too sure what is happening tomorrow...I have just been warned power will be down all morning... I think the panel and walls will get fixed left of the new window.

I also went on 'cleaning strike' since no one helps around here but everyone sure knows how to make a mess so today was dusting day! They all had to dust! I tried taking a picture of Aymeric but he dove into the couch and ended up  a blur on the picture...so he is not included here!

What else is new? It's been a busy week. Monday Zoe went to gymnastics while I attended Kilian's school meeting. Kilian is struggling in math...or more accurately totally failing math so I have an appointment with his teacher on 3/12.  Tuesday, both boys attended Parkour lessons...Zoe and I stayed home, read books and worked on puzzle. Wednesday, the kids spent the evening in the spa...after a nice steak dinner (those are rare around here and my last stitch fell out so I was able to eat!). Today I attended Aymeric's school meeting. His teacher has been out since November for foot surgery...the surgery did not work so...she is still not back and the long term sub is slowly turning into the actual teacher! Good thing it's Rhonda...we all know her and the kids like her! Both Aymeric and Kilian finally made their AR goals (accelerated reader- they need to meet a certain number of points by reading...). Kilian needed 14 points by tomorrow and he already has 15.3 points. Aymeric needed 27 points and he has 33+. Aymeric is hooked on the Harry Potter series...finally! We've been watching the movies as he finishes the books.
Zoe...she wants homework like her brothers. She wants to do math and practice writing. I print out worksheets for her and she has a notebook she uses to do writing practice. Her motor skills aren't there yet and she get frustrated but she really wants to learn.

Last Friday, we visited Helene and her family....we, I mean Zoe and I. Zoe had lots of fun with Sophie while I chatted with Helene! Helene is in a lot of pain. She has a lot of health issues and some worries. I wish I could help her. For now, I will make sure to visit her more often and keep inviting her over.
Sophie and Zoe are great friends and always have a blast together.

That's it for now...
